A day in Slough with CalAid #MusicMonday

Hi all.

Yes, I know i've not been here a lot, there's a lot of things going on at the moment and it's a bit non stop for me and the family right now. Hence the lack of family stuff right now, this will improve over time but for now let's go back to something positive.

On Sunday I went to Slough with a member of B3ta, (hey Trelly!) who kindly drove me to CalAid to organise donations to go to Syria.

During the day we met some amazing people who had been to the Jungle and been building sturdy shelters for refugees in Calais. With some going back in a few days and staying through Christmas. I felt proud to be a part of a group helping others and hope to go back again in the future.

But I do know CalAid Slough needs help with their units as they have to move all the donations from one site to their second site by the end of the year. If anyone local is up for it I'm sure they would love to see you.

Now for some music I've been thinking about it for today and this little ditty by Reef fit perfectly. for some reason. It's a happy song!

Morning all,

It's seeming to be a cloudy one today with the rain trying to come out to play, spoiling park fun time later, I know it'll cause havoc as a result - oh well he says smiling. I've still made cakes.

Today it's based on moods - mine is a bit cloudy right now, this landed in my suggestions on youtube and fit my mood perfectly. The weird thing is I'm happy! Really weird no?

Well it's that time of the week - Music Monday

I was going to choose a theme but decided against it purely out of laziness today. That said the track I chose has it's own theme in a way, but for now I can't speak about it. (I keep you so out of the loop, there are reasons I assure you)

I'll be truthful with you now, this track I discovered on the white label scene many moons back - while the vinyl went missing years ago and many things changed it's still ripped on the hard disc and stacked on the phone, ipod, virtualDJ setup ready for a blast and a blat when the mood deems fit.

It's monday and I think I should restart Music Monday again. No theme just a tune you love and I've chosen a classic song from my past that's bought me hope when homeless and the outcome looked real bleak, a song that may be silly to some but has importance to me in a fantastic way! On top of this it sounds great in the summer and I've got a video of my son rocking out to this video somewhere! Oh bar Michael Jackson it's one of the only songs to have one swear cut out on TV but the next one moments before or after ignored

#MusicMonday - Angry

Morning all.

2 weeks back I ran an experiment on my twitter and facebook called #Musicmonday.

It went so well I've decided to make it a weekly themed event.

The first one is themed on Anger or Angry

For me, it has to be Unfinished Sympathy by massive attack. It's an angry song without shouting it from the rooftops. One i listen to when annoyed on the road
