Alcatel OT903 Root Achieved!

Update - Enorme Ciao e benvenuto ai Androidiani forums  Felice di averti aiutato!

If you've seen previous posts about the Alcatel OT 903 and 903D I've got a good update for you!

With thanks to an anonymous poster on the original post I give you a way to root! Sends virtual beer to you!

To start you'll need the following

Alcatel ADB Drivers - Clicky Here (Use MTK for OT903 ONLY!!)

Eroot Tool - 4shared - Clicky Here

I will upload a zip with both the root and drivers soon!

First things first. DISCLAIMER!!

I HAVE TRIED THE SOFTWARE AND IT WORKED OK, BUT CHECK WITH ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE BEFORE YOU CONTINUE - SOME TOOLS MAY WARN OF ISSUES AS ROOT IS USUALLY DONE WITH AN EXPLOIT! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU COCK THIS UP!

I am doing this through 32bit windows xp! swearing may vary!

Let's begin Unzip the ADB Drivers to your chosen folder. Copy the folder location as you'll need it.

in my case it's
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Downloads\Alcatel_ADB_with_Eroot

Plug your phone into the computer. you'll get a Found new hardware popup.

manually select location of drivers.

paste the folder info you copied earlier, if you get an error about no drivers, click OK, then click browse next to the information you've copied in.
from there select win32 or win64 for what you need.

it'll install from there.

Once done open up Eroot!
you'll see the following screen Please do not be afraid of the language the tool works.

Eventually you'll see the following screen with a huge root button. If not reboot the computer and try again, as XP may require a reboot to make things work.

WARNING! IF YOU DO THIS I AM UNSURE IF YOU CAN UNROOT WITH THIS - YOU ARE FAPPING YOUR WARRANTY UP THE WALL THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE TO GO BACK!!!!!

Click the big green Root button. and wait up to 10 mins for all the ticks to become green.

Unplug, reboot and all should work. Use Root checker to confirm all has worked, if not try again.

It does go weird at times but a hard reset aparently fixes this. That said my device has no SDCard so that could be the issue too!

Let me know how this goes
